Aligudarz crystalline marble is a common name for a range of crystalline stones extracted from quarries in the Aligudarz area of Lorestan Province. These stones have a limestone origin and developed a crystalline texture through metamorphism. Aligudarz therefore does not denote a single uniform sample with fixed specifications; products from different quarries may vary in appearance and quality.
Light varieties have white to light-grey backgrounds with grey and dark lines and veins. The amount of veining, the direction of the lines and background uniformity shape each sample’s visual identity. This stone is supplied as slabs and tiles, and polishing highlights its natural patterns and surface light reflection.
Common applications include interior floors, lobbies, interior walls and staircases. The final choice should consider the actual sample, thickness, finish and specifications of the quarry’s product.
